About the Author

Ankhi Dasgupta

Ankhi Dasgupta is an accomplished Early Childhood Educator with extensive experience in leading early years programmes at several prominent schools in Noida. She currently serves as the Head of Early Years at a renowned institution in the NCR region.

Her deep commitment to nurturing young learners and fostering strong educational foundations led her to conceptualize the Read, Learn, Grow series — a comprehensive set of books designed to address key developmental milestones and build essential early learning skills. The series supports the development of reading fluency, cognitive abilities, fine motor skills, as well as pre-reading and pre-writing skills, ensuring a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Ms. Sunita Banerjee - Beginners series

Born and brought up in Kolkata, Sunita Banerjee’s tryst with paintings and colours began when she was just 8 years old. Bengal’s beautiful countryside fascinated her and she vividly captured them on her canvas. Despite her innate passion for art, she was unable to pursue formal education and eventually, after marriage, she completely lost touch. But as destiny would have it, after a long hiatus of 40 years, Sunita reconnected with her lost passion. Today, at the age of 60, she is pursuing her dream of becoming an artist. Her hand drawn paintings for the ‘Read, Learn, Grow’- Beginners series, are her maiden effort. And though it took 60 long years for the opportunity to come knocking on her door, there is no turning back now.

Ms. Shriyanka Das Sharma - Vowel series

Shriyanka, an illustrator from India,has always been fascinated by the world of art and fairy tales and is grateful to have chosen her profession as a full-time illustrator.She loves creating child-centred work and helping build a better world for us.

‘Read, Learn, Grow’- Beginners series is a collection of picture books for the Nursery children and is designed to inculcate in them the love for reading.

The Beginners series not only caters to developing the pre reading skills of the children but also sparks the child’s imagination and stimulates curiosity. It is a well designed series keeping in mind the age appropriate developmental milestones for children.

Each book has a variety of Engagement sheets which aims to develop the foundational skills like listening, speaking, numeracy, fine motor skills and critical thinking ability, preparing them to move ahead to the next level of the series and also shaping the young minds as a 21st century learner.

Vowel series ( A set of 5 books)

‘Read, Learn, Grow’ - Vowel series is a collection of books which focusses on the sounds of the vowels and enables the child to develop an understanding of the CVC words.

Understanding the sound of the vowel is a key aspect in English reading and writing. Words in English need vowels to break up the sounds that consonants make. So ,it is important for children to be thorough with the vowel sounds in order to be a fluent reader.

This is a five book series and each book consolidates the sound of a particular vowel as well as gives an exposure to the sight words. Apart from developing the reading skill of a child the book also stimulates curiosity. Each book has a variety of Engagement sheets in context to the story.The Engagement sheets aim to develop the foundational skills like listening, speaking, numeracy, fine motor skills and critical thinking ability, preparing them to move ahead to the next level of the series and also shaping the young minds as a 21st century learner.
